Miriam Carson is a certified registered nurse who earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Pennsylvania. She works as a labor and delivery and outpatient obstetrics nurse at University Medical Centers. 
 
Carson and her husband Michael, an internal medicine physician who specializes in the care of pregnant women with medical issues, live in Long Branch, New Jersey, and have two adult children.
 
Carson works in the labor and delivery unit and with underserved patients at the outpatient OB/GYN clinic at Riverview Medical Center Red Bank, New Jersey. She is also the assistant manager in a postpartum unit.

Carson is certified through the National Certification Corporation in Inpatient Obstetrics.
