The popular Babyletto Kiwi electronic recliner and swivel glider was just recalled by Bexco Enterprises Inc., also known as Million Dollar Baby.[1] The chairs have two USB ports, located on the inner side of the arm of the chair, which have the potential to overheat, causing sparks and smoke.
If you have one of these chairs in your baby's nursery and use it for breastfeeding or rocking your little bundle of joy, you'll want to check to see if yours is part of the recall. Some of the gliders are safe to continue using, but the ones affected will need a replacement part.
Which Babyletto Kiwi gliders are being recalled?
The affected Babyletto chairs were all manufactured in China and imported to the U.S. by Bexco Enterprises, a nursery furniture wholesaler and importer. More than 9,000 chairs sold between May 2023 and February 2025 have been recalled. The chairs cost around $800 and were sold at the following retail stores and websites:
Crate & Kids
Babyletto.com
Amazon
Target
Baby List
Pottery Barn Kids
Wayfair
West Elm Kids
Bloomingdale’s
When the affected models’ USB ports — that’s the part of the chair that can charge small devices like your phone — get too hot, it could overheat or lead to serious injury by burning, electric shock or smoke inhalation. There have been 37 reports of overheating, smoking or sparking incidents, including one minor injury, reports Bexco Enterprises. However, there have been no reports of fires or home damage as a result of the chairs overheating.
To find out whether your recliner or swivel glider is included in the recall, look for the batch or model number on the white label located under the footrest. A full list of recalled chairs can be found here.
What to do if you have a recalled Kiwi glider or recliner
If the model number on your chair matches a batch number that was included in the recall, you should unplug and stop using it right away and contact Babyletto on their recall website here.
The company is offering free repair kits to all affected customers. You'll just need to fill out the "Kiwi Voluntary Recall Form" with your model number, color, serial number, the store or website you purchased it from, and the date when it was purchased. Then, they'll send you a new USB port and instructions for how to install it into your chair. After you install the new port, you should throw out the defective one (it’s okay to dispose of it with your regular trash).
You can always call their customer service line at (866) 621-9483 if you have additional questions about your chair specifically.
