Even I find Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days overwhelming — and I’m a professional sales scouter! The 48-hour shopping event kicked off yesterday, October 8, and I’ve been combing through a dizzying amount of discounts ever since. I’ve also witnessed popular products in my cart disappear with “out of stock” tags and lighting deals get claimed in an instant. So, you may be wondering: Is it too late to shop the October Prime Day sale? 

If you’re worried about missing out on yesterday’s markdowns, don’t be. There are still plenty of deals to be snagged (and some savings have even increased overnight!). As a shopping editor who has covered every iteration of Prime Day over the last four years, here’s everything I want you to know about the sale before it ends — including the deals you actually don’t want to miss out on. 

How Long Do Amazon Prime Day Deals Last? 

The simple answer is this: October Prime Day ends end tonight, October 9, 2024. You’ll have until exactly 11:59 p.m. PST (but if you, like me, live on the East Coast, you can shop until 2:59 a.m. EST). 

But if history is any indicator, Prime Day-level deals won’t end when the clock strikes midnight. In fact, many brands opt to extend the same savings an extra day or two — and, on rare occasions, through the end of the week. That being said, if you have your eye on a particular brand or product, I don’t recommend waiting to see if the same price drop will be available tomorrow (chances are it won’t). Take it from me: it's too risky to hold off on seeing who plans to participate in the post-Prime Day promotions.
